Eligibility for Federal Student Loan Consolidation
You may consolidate your Federal Student Loans if you:
Are in your grace period (normally your first 6 months after leaving school) or in repayment on your Federal Student Loans.
Currently not enrolled, or enrolled less than half time.
Your Federal Student Loan balance is currently $10,000 or more.
Have not previously consolidated your loans (unless you have other Federal Student Loans that you wish to add to your existing Federal Consolidation Loan).
You are currently not more than 150 days delinquent on a Federal Student Loan.

Federal Direct Stafford Loans (both Sub and UnSub)
Federal Parent (PLUS) Loans for Undergraduate Students
Federal Graduate (PLUS) Loans
Federal Direct Parent (PLUS) Loans
Supplemental Loans for Students (SLS)
Federal Perkins Loans (from your college)
Federally Insured Student Loans (FISL)
Health Professions Student Loans (HPSL)
Nursing Student Loans (NSL)
National Defense Student Loans (NDSL)
National Direct Student Loans (also NDSL)
Federal Consolidation Loans (if you have other Federal Student Loans to add to your existing Federal Consolidation Loan)
